Camille Beckles is an independent ceramicist who makes beautiful, useful objects. Camille wanted a mark that puts her identity as a Black woman at the forefront of her work.

The challenge was to craft a mark with enough detail to be identifiable, but simple enough to hold up when stamped into clay. The accompanying wordmark, based on the rhythm of Camille’s signature, reflects her pieces’ warm utility and commitment to craft.
